Sudden Death was born in 1998 by Andrea Pro (drums), Marco "Pritto" Brinoni (guitar and vocals) and Louis Maiolini (guitar) with the aim of playing death metal in the wake of Cannibal Corpse, Suffocation, etc.
After recording a demo never released and stabilizing the line-up with the addiction of bassist Umberto Nunziata, the band began a long series of concerts around Italy sharing the stage with many national and international underground bands.
The First album Devoured Insie is released in 2000 and promoted by an intense live activity. After several changes of line-up in 2002, Mark left the guitar to concentrate on the role of singer and Flavio Tempesta joined the band as guitarist, already active in bands such Disease and CLG.
A Few months after the new album composition has starded Marco left the band for lack of interest, so Umberto and Flavio started to take the role of singer dividing vocals parts.
In 2004 the second full length Injection of Hate was released: a summary of two years of working concentrated in 8 fast and brutal songs; Umberto almost immediately left the band and was replaced by Dario Petraczeck as bass player.
Thanks to the good criticts and feedbacks about the new album the band started traveling around Italy to perform with Italian and international bands like Suffocation, Napalm Death, Pandemic, Exodus, Brutal Truth, and many others.
In October 2008 staretd new album recornding sessions but the band will cease the activity in 2009 due to personal problems so the album was nevere released.
At the end of 2011, after 3 years of silence, the band decided to go back slowly on his feet for a handful of "funeral dates" designed to celebrate the years of hard work spent in Italian underground and the big passion for death metal that has inspired the band for 14 years.
After some dates around Italy, Sudden Death started to work on a new album. In autumn 2014 this last piece of death metal was named "Monolith of Sorrow". Meanwhile Suddend Death returned on stage with a new and extended 5-elemented line up. Vito from Ultimo Mondo Cannibale and Alessio from Dr. Gore joined as bassist and growling frontman respectively after Dario (bass) departure. Flavio dropped to guitar only and backing screams.

I Sudden Death nascono nel 1998 per mano di Andrea Pro (batteria), Marco "Pritto" Brinoni (chitarra e voce) e Luigi Maiolini (chitarra) con l'intento di suonare death metal di matrice americana sulla scia di Cannibal corpse, Suffocation etc.
Dopo aver inciso un demo mai distribuito ed aver stabilizzato la line-up con l'ingresso del bassista Umberto Nunziata, i 4 iniziano una lunghissima serie di concerti in tutta l'Italia dividendo il palco con moltissimi gruppi underground nazionali ed internazionali. Nel 2000 viene rilasciato il primo album Devoured Inside promosso con un'intensa attività live, successivamente dopo alcuni cambi di line-up nel 2002 Marco abbandona la chitarra per concentrarsi solo sul ruolo di cantante e alla sei corde arriverrà Flavio Tempesta già con Disease e CLG.
Inizia la composizione del nuovo album ma dopo qualche mese Marco abbandona per mancanza di interesse lasciando il ruolo di cantante ad Umberto e Flavio che da li'in poi si divideranno le parti di voce: nel 2004 viene registrato il secondo album Injection Of Hate nel quale la band riesce a condensare gli ultimi 2 anni di lavoro in un lotto di canzoni veloci e brutali ma quasi subito dopo Umberto lascia la band, venendo immediatamente sostituito da Dario Petraczeck. Il nuovo album accolto benissimo da critica e pubblico porterà di nuovo la band in giro per tutta l'Italia suonando con una miriade di band italiane ed internazionali come Suffocation, Napalm Death, Pandemia, Exodus, Brutal Truth e molte altre.
Nell'ottobre del2008 iniziano le registrazioni del loro nuovo album che pero' non vedra' mai la luce in quanto la band si sciogliera' nei primi mesi del 2009 a causa di problemi personali e musicali.
Alla fine del 2011, dopo 3 anni di silenzio, la band decide di rimettersi lentamente in piedi per un pugno di date "funerale" atte a celebrare gli anni di duro lavoro nell'underground italiano e la grossa passione per il death metal che per 14 anni ha animato la band.
Dopo alcune date live in giro per l'Italia, la band iniziò a lavorare al nuovo album. Nell'autunno del 2014 il nuovo concentrato di puro death metal si chiamò "Monolith of Sorrow". Nel frattempo i Sudden Death tornarono sul palco con una nuova line-up a cinque elementi: Vito degli Ultimo Mondo Cannibale ed Alessio dai Dr. Gore entrarono nella band rispettivamente come bassista e growling frontman, dopo l'uscita di Dario. Flavio così si dedica solamente alla chitarra ed alle seconde voci.
